Inside
FROM THE
REPORTER’S DESK
AN INTERNATIONAL
cricketer, the Ghetto Hustlers,
a couple of cold bevvies and a
Snapchat sounds like a recipe for
disaster.
But not in our page 3 story.
Black Caps bowler Ish Sodhi
was asked via Snapchat if he
would play for the Burnside
West Ghetto Hustlers in their
T20 Metro Cavaliers section
two match against Parklands on
Sunday.
And to the team’s amazement,
he said yes.
It was a big occasion – more
than 100 spectators watched as
Sodhi took an early wicket at
Burnside Park and helped guide
the Hustlers to victory.
He even stuck around after the
match for a cool beverage with
his new teammates.
It’s that time of the year again
– the Star Media City2Surf.
Every year thousands of people
take part in the iconic fun
run – some to raise money for
charity, some to beat personal
goals, some to win, and others to
just have a good time.
Entries will still be open on
the morning of Sunday’s event.
Are you up for it?
