Farmers with a View the group is pretending to scramble as if in a race to find the plaza. The path itself is lit by hanging bulbs on strands, and they dangle through the grape vines overhead. Visitors are welcome to wander wherever they want but the main path is easy to follow because it is so clearly lit. It is moderately crowded with families wandering together, drinking small cups of raki, lemonade and tea that are being handed out along the route. Where the street turns into a set of stairs, the exuberant group of four can finally see the plaza and Flori’s uncle is sitting with friends in a circle just off the main square, with the band in full swing. The crowd assembled will spend the next few hours under the stars with a warm breeze carrying the sounds of the band over the valley where the goats rest, their bells shaking just a little bit too. Mountain Bike Festival All over Albania, groups of outdoor enthusiasts are popping up and they are always on the lookout for beautiful settings to host races, trainings, and fun gatherings of like-minded people. During the summer season, internationals who share interest in outdoor sports are an everyday sight along the roads and trails of the Riviera. Local mountain bikers, climbers and hiking clubs are taking the lead in organizing events that bring internationals and locals together, creating a vibrant subculture in Albania. The most important part of these gatherings is the beauty of the natural environment. Why not add a cultural aspect too, and host an outdoor sport festival in one of the villages! Sport tourists are a wonderful kind of client because they are adventurous, have a lot of energy and like to have fun, but they also prefer to wake up early to perform at their best. Even in large numbers, this kind of visitor would be quiet and respectful guests. Many of them would like to stay in houses, but many more often camp in tents.
