3.4 Biomass<br />
With the term biomass, we mean the total of plant and animal materials in an ecosystem. The vegetable<br />
raw materials that fall under ‘biomass’ are used as biofuel for energy generation in power plants. In<br />
addition to biofuels, biomass can also be used for the production of Bio(Based) raw materials or biofilter<br />
material.<br />
