PSE (Personal Safety Equipment) categories:
CAT I Low risks, no type approval testing required. Gloves meet the general requirements of
EC Directive 89/686EEC (from 21 April 2018: EU Directive 2016/425) and must meet
basic requirements (EN420).
CAT II Medium mechanical risks as per EN388 is required.
CAT III Irreversible or fatal risks and quality monitoring are required by a
notified body.
