HIGH SCHOOL SPORT Swimming The swimming season began with our Inter-house gala on January 18th, where Dresden out-swam both Jubilee and Petra. Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated. Berno van der Westhuizen and Donae van Deventer exceeded themselves and shone as winners on the day. The first gala for the season will take place at St Mary’s DSG on February 1st. Athletics Hosting our first athletic Interhouse at our new athletics track was a yet again a historic occasion. The special day started with the processional marches of the different houses: Petra, Dresden and Jubilee. We would like to congratulate Jubilee, who won both the athletics day as well as the spirit trophy. We would also like to congratulate the following learners: • Junior Victrix Ludorum – Donae van Deventer • Junior Victor Ludorum – Wikus Havenga • Senior Victrix Ludorum – Perfect Ncube • Senior Victor Ludorum – Luka Ferreira Equestrian Congratulations to Dané Roux and her horse, Raving Queen, who participated in the Sanesa Core League Qualifier 1, that took place on 4 and 5 February.
