You also received a weekly
programme which diarises
the week’s upcoming school
events. We are very proud
of the first edition our new
school diary that will help
you to see the whole 2018 in
perspective.

HAPPENINGS
Dear Parent,
Our main focus is “WHY?”
A hearty welcome to all new
staff, learners and parents. After
all the ceremonies regarding
moving in to our new home,
I would like to thank every
parent, learner, staff member,
ground staff member and of
course, Mr Ferdi Niemand for
the role they played. We are
now all a part of history.
Every day we are writing
a new page in the story of
Curro Roodeplaat as well as
in the story of your child. We
as co-authors should make
this a best-seller. We have one
chance - enough said.
Teaching took place from day
one - due to proper planning.
We experienced challenges
just like any new school, but
we survived the first month
of 2018. On Friday, 2 February
2018, we started using our
revised timetable that we could
only change after the 10th
school day due to a change
Well done, yet again, on our
first Inter-house Athletics and
swimming gala. Donae van
Deventer deserves a special
mention as a junior excelling
at both swimming and
athletics. Atomic explosion
was exactly that. Welcome
to the Grade 8 learners and
thank you to the prefects on
a job well done.
We take cognizance that
every term is busy but
remember, we are here for
academics! Having said that,
every afternoon your child
should be on the sports field,
at a culture venue or an extra
lesson.
I hope you and your family
have a blessed term 1.
To answer the WHY? Because
we have to make a difference.
