CONVERTED INTO HOTELS, BUT THIS PARTICULAR
BUILDING WAS PURPOSE-BUILT AS A HOTEL.”
“A lot of the hotels in Brisbane are often converted,
office buildings that have been converted into hotels,
but this particular building was purpose-built as
a hotel.”
As a purpose-built hotel, the Four Points has
been able to not only adhere to new building/hotel
regulations following the Brisbane floods in 2011, but
design the building to suit all the requirements of a
4.5-star hotel including a rooftop bar.
“Since the floods there have been a lot of changes to
the building codes so some of the interesting aspects
as a result of that is all our equipment is located from
level two and above so if the city was to go through
anything like that again, we could still operate,”
Brad said.
As inner city rooftop bars rise in popularity, Four
Points’ very own Sazerac Bar Brisbane has received
accolades recognising the bar’s high standards of
service, presentation and trade practices within
the industry.
At the QHA Awards for Excellence held in October last
year, Sazerac took out the award for Best Boutique
Bar and Brad said it was all thanks to his team’s
commitment to providing exceptional customer service
and their pursuit of perfection in all aspects.
