These sessions have been designed
to provide a relaxed and
non-threatening atmosphere to
encourage children to practice
their reading skills and develop a
love of reading. This programme
uses dogs who are the pets of the
city council animal management
team and have been trained and
tested for health, safety and temperament.

Anthony Harper Summer Theatre is back. This year features the favourite tale of The Little Prince,
following his observations and adventures through an adult world using masks, puppets and
large scale tricks. The Botanic Gardens will be transformed as the storytellers take you on an
intergalactic journey of wildness and whimsy. A story that will entertain kids and adults equally,
this is an event for the whole family. The series runs February 1 to 18 with both evening and
afternoon showings. Wednesday to Sunday, 1.30-3pm or 7-8.30pm. Check for cancellations.
