WOMEN’S COUNCIL<br />
The National Association of Home Builders founded the<br />
Women’s Council in 1955 to support the home building<br />
industry and professional development of women in the trade.<br />
The Council’s goal is to represent all women in the home<br />
building business through their local chapter.<br />
The Women’s Council is first and foremost dedicated to<br />
creating networking opportunities for women in the home<br />
building industry.<br />
The Council has a voting right on the <strong>HBA</strong> board.<br />
The Council will continue their outreach to women in<br />
the business. They will sponsor educational programs,<br />
assist with numerous activities currently in place with the<br />
Association such as the annual scholarships, membership<br />
meetings, special events and the Holiday Party.<br />
The Women’s Council awards scholarships annually<br />
to local students wishing to pursue a career in the<br />
building industry. The scholarships are awarded at honor<br />
assemblies in the district. The council also provides<br />
networking opportunities and industry related programs<br />
for its members.<br />
Take advantage of your resources. The Council will serve<br />
