WELCOME TO THE BRIDGE HOUSE THEATRE AND WARWICK HALL SPRING AND SUMMER 2018 SEASON. Welcome to the Bridge House Theatre and Warwick Hall Spring Summer 2018 season This season we continue to offer some fabulous theatre and music experiences for an ever-growing audience – thank you for supporting us, we really appreciate it. Aylesford School bring another classic school-based play in February. In Willy Russell’s Our Day Out Mrs Kay’s ‘Progress Class’ are unleashed for a day’s coach trip to Conway Castle in Wales. But this is more than a romp – Our Day Out highlights the empty futures for these children from the backstreets of Liverpool, for whom a day out was as much as they could expect. Blow away the Winter blues with Jazz at the Bridge, with performances from some of Warwick’s most talented young musicians. This is a very popular event so please book early. With Winter in full force The Bone Ensemble bring us an Arctic adventure with live music and a great story. Where’s my Igloo Gone? cleverly weaves scientific knowledge into the extraordinary journey of Oolik who needs to save her igloo home. With dynamic interactive activities children will be fully part of the story, problemsolving and working together to help the characters. We are thrilled that Les Petits are making their Bridge House debut with Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs 2. Known for their inventiveness and joyful fantasy Les Petits will, no doubt, whisk you away on a wonderful adventure. Blackeyed Theatre have become Bridge House favourites and we are delighted to see them return with the ever popular Teechers by John Godber. In an educational climate where the arts are often marginalised it celebrates the joy of theatre, the inspiration of teachers and mocks the petty power squabbles of school-life. With just three actors multi-rolling, it will also be a master-class in character performance from this dynamic and hugely creative company. Don’t miss it. For lovers of thrillers and ghost stories The Middle School production this year is not one to miss! Seen for the first time in Edinburgh last Summer, The Curse of Cranholme Abbey follows a group of young people as they visit a neglected inherited mansion and discover its tragic and sinister past. With a talented cast of 14-15 year olds from Warwick and King’s High we are sure this one will make you jump as we move through three time periods in the Abbey’s terrifying past. 2
