MUSIC AT WARWICK STRING CONCERT Tue 6 Feb 7.30pm WH HOUSE MUSIC FESTIVAL Thu 15 Feb 7.30pm BHT WOODWIND CELEBRATION Over 100 woodwind players come together to play everything from Mozart to Michael Jackson! An evening of high quality music and fun featuring boys and girls from across the Warwick Foundation. Fri 2 Mar 7.30pm WH CHAMBER CONCERT This event will showcase some of Warwick School’s more advanced chamber groups with the help of musicians from King’s High. The concert will have an interesting and varied programme featuring the best of the classical repertoire featuring music for Piano Quintet including double bass, String Quintet, String Quartets, Mendelssohn Piano Trio and Mozart Trio for Horn, violin and piano. There will be music for Wind, Brass, our Trombone and Tuba ensemble the Undertones, Saxophone Ensemble and Cello Ensemble featuring a newly commissioned work by our own Andy Derrick. There will be a contribution from the keyboard department with music for 8 hands played on 2 pianos. We hope this will whet the appetites of parents whose presence will undoubtedly enhance the atmosphere of such a wonderful occasion. Wed 7 Mar 7.30pm WH PREP SCHOOL CONCERT This event is for Prep School parents. An extravaganza of music to get your feet tapping. Mon 19 Mar 7pm WH LENT CONCERT Warwick Junior School’s Easter Celebration of the widest variety of music-making you will find anywhere in Warwickshire. You don’t believe us? Come along and see for yourself! Tue 20 Mar 7pm WH EASTER GALA Foundation Symphony Orchestra performing the Overture Finlandia by Sibelius, the 1st movement of Prokofiev’s Concertino for Cello and Orchestra (soloist Archie Whitby) and extracts from Handel’s Messiah with choirs from Warwick School, King’s High and Canticum.
