A CDHB election forum<br />

will be held on <strong>September</strong> 7,<br />

11.45am to 1pm the following<br />

Wednesday, <strong>September</strong> 14,<br />

an Environment Canterbury<br />

election forum will take<br />

place. Then on <strong>September</strong><br />

21, from 12.15pm to 1pm,<br />

there will be an election<br />

forum for both the Burwood<br />

and Coastal Wards and the<br />

Linwood and Central Wards.<br />

Brighton Museum<br />

Every Monday, from<br />

1.30pm<br />

This month at the New<br />

Brighton Museum, four movies<br />

will be shown – a film on<br />

each Monday. Go along early<br />

for a cup of tea, a biscuit and<br />

a chat with museum staff.<br />

Sensory Movie Day – The<br />

Palms<br />

Sunday <strong>September</strong> 11, from<br />

10.30am<br />

Sensory movie day is an<br />

inclusive event for families<br />

with special needs or sensory<br />

processing disorders. The<br />

movie will be The Secret<br />

FAMILY FUN: Every Wednesday, make your way down to<br />

the mums, dads and bubs group, hosted by the Linwood<br />

Playcentre. Meet other mums and dads in your community<br />

for shared kai and a well-earned coffee while watching<br />

the tamariki play and learn. Older siblings are welcome.<br />

Discussions will be had around babies’ learning and<br />

development and experiences as parents. The playcentre is<br />

located at 628a Worcester St, Linwood. No entry fee.<br />

Life of Pets. Lighting will be dim,<br />

the sound lowered and volunteers<br />

will be monitoring fire exits<br />

and doors. Children are free to<br />

move around, it’s a no judgement<br />

zone. Proceeds will go to The<br />

Champion Centre. Purchase<br />

tickets from the customer service<br />

kiosk in the mall.<br />

props and plenty of fun for the<br />

whole whanau. All programmes<br />
