How to get back the deleted emails in Hotmail

If you are an exist<strong>in</strong>g user of <strong>Hotmail</strong> account and you<br />

are look<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> recover your erased <strong>emails</strong> on your<br />

<strong>Hotmail</strong> account, you can do so. Yes! You have a<br />

chance <strong>to</strong> recover those <strong>emails</strong> that are still available<br />

<strong>in</strong> erased <strong>emails</strong>. There might be a case your erased<br />

items folder is empty, but you can still recover your<br />

<strong>emails</strong>.<br />

Recover <strong>the</strong> <strong>emails</strong> that go <strong>to</strong> your Deleted items<br />

folder.<br />

Whenever you access your <strong>Hotmail</strong> account and you<br />

delete an email, message, contacts, calendar or any<br />

task <strong>the</strong>se items au<strong>to</strong>matically go <strong>to</strong> Deleted items<br />

folder. So, if you are look<strong>in</strong>g any of your <strong>emails</strong> on<br />

<strong>Hotmail</strong> account, erased items is <strong>the</strong> first place <strong>to</strong><br />

look.


1. Log<strong>in</strong> <strong>to</strong> your <strong>Hotmail</strong> account and <strong>the</strong>n go <strong>to</strong> email<br />

folder list and <strong>the</strong>re you need <strong>to</strong> select “Deleted<br />

Items”.<br />

In order <strong>to</strong> res<strong>to</strong>re erased message <strong>to</strong> your <strong>in</strong>box, just<br />

right-click on an item and <strong>the</strong>n move, next click on<br />

<strong>in</strong>box.<br />

If you are look<strong>in</strong>g <strong>to</strong> res<strong>to</strong>re an erased item <strong>in</strong> some<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r folder, just right-click on <strong>the</strong> item and <strong>the</strong>n go<br />

<strong>to</strong> move, next click on more. Now you can select a<br />

folder location and f<strong>in</strong>ally click move.<br />

In case, you don’t f<strong>in</strong>d any email <strong>in</strong> “Deleted Item<br />

Folder”, use <strong>the</strong> given <strong>in</strong>formation.<br />

When you are not able <strong>to</strong> f<strong>in</strong>d any email <strong>in</strong> “Deleted<br />

Items Folder” <strong>the</strong>n next step is <strong>to</strong> search<br />

“Recoverable Items Folder”.


3. Here, a new w<strong>in</strong>dow will open and you’ll<br />

be able <strong>to</strong> see erased items, select those<br />

items you want <strong>to</strong> recover, just click on an<br />

item and <strong>the</strong>n click “Recover” and click<br />

“Ok”.<br />

Notes:<br />

1. In <strong>the</strong> left side of screen, you f<strong>in</strong>d an<br />

option Deleted Items Folder and <strong>the</strong>n click<br />

on it.<br />

2. A w<strong>in</strong>dow appears and on <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p of this<br />

w<strong>in</strong>dow, you can select “Recover Deleted<br />

Items”.


The items you have erased will be<br />

recoverable for 30 days, after days 30 you<br />

won’t be able <strong>to</strong> recover.<br />

Junk mail folder <strong>get</strong>s empty after 14 days<br />

and <strong>emails</strong> are not recoverable.<br />

If you don’t see any message <strong>in</strong> Deleted<br />

items folder it means files have been erased<br />

permanently.<br />
