STONEWALL
AT MARIANAPOLIS PREPARATORY SCHOOL
WELCOME
Camp Stonewall is a co-ed sleepaway camp in the
northeast corner of Connecticut. And we’ve got a
secret for you: a summer here is one your child will
never forget.
We trust our campers with the independence and
responsibility of choosing their activities every day. We
empower them to contribute to a community of young
people that values respect, inclusivity, and enthusiasm.
We challenge them to try as many new things as they
can within the safe, nurturing environment of camp.
And why shouldn’t we? Participants come to us from
right down the street and from thousands of miles
away. They live away from home alongside their peers
and take full advantage of our campus’ resources. They
make friendships that last a lifetime and learn more
about themselves than they ever thought they could.
In short, our kids are awesome - we just give them the
space to be themselves.
Whether you’re considering a week, a few weeks, or a
whole summer at Camp Stonewall, I invite you to read
on to learn about this spectacular place.
SENIOR CAMPERS
Many teenagers worry they’re too old for sleepaway camp - especially if they’re trying it for the first time.
At CSW, senior campers enjoy their own bunk group and access unique programming and privileges
designed exclusively for them.
Previous SC events have included a sushi-making lesson, a painting class in a professional studio, laser
tag, escape room adventures, an off-site overnight camping trip, and a nighttime zipline and challenge
course adventure.
SCs can also choose to go “on the schedule” like our staff, learning to lead camp activities with the help
of Stonewall counselors.
HOME
At Camp Stonewall, dorm life is about comfort
and belonging. Campers live alongside peers and
counselors from around the world. Whether chatting
in the living room, baking in the kitchen, or playing
foosball in the game room, our kids make every inch
of this campus their home away from home.
STONEWALL ADVENTURE TEAM
TRAVEL
Each year, Camp Stonewall offers 3 “SWAT Trips”
that take campers on adventures throughout New
England. Every trip’s itinerary is different. These
adventure travel opportunities help campers to
get off campus, challenge themselves, try new
things, and explore their world. And, have a lot of
fun in the process.
THE STAFF
THE STAFF
Camp Stonewall has extensive on- and off-site access to
ponds, lakes, fields, and trails. Catch your first fish; stargaze
by the tent; shoot a bullseye; paddle 5 miles; conquer a new
low ropes challenge. You can enjoy all kinds of adventure in
the great outdoors - from right here at camp!
UNFORGETTABLE
Nurturing, enthusiastic, responsible, and committed: these
are the qualities CSW parents value most in our staff. But the
kids? The kids love our staff because they are unforgettable.
Counselors get to know each camper for his or her strengths,
and along the way, highlight the many wonderful qualities
they have in common. Kids can be themselves at Camp
Stonewall because the counselors are hilariously, reliably,
admirably themselves, too. Our staff are role models that
make an indelible impact on the lives of our kids.
TEAMWORK
Every member of the Camp Stonewall community is on a color
team. Our Golden, Crimson, and White Knights compete weekly,
striving towards common goals and exemplary teamwork. Campers
are also recognized for outstanding sportsmanship. Best of all,
your team is the same whether you’re here for 1 summer or for 20
summers! Go Knights!

STAY CONNECTED
Keeping in touch is important - especially when the camp
experience is new. CSW participants can call home each day
from their cell phone (which we store with our counselors) or
from house phones. Parents can also send emails to
campermail@marianapolis.org for delivery every day at
lunchtime. And no one ever turns down a care package full
of treats from home!
LEARN MORE
Still not sure if Camp Stonewall is the right camp
for your family? Come visit us. A remarkable 95%
of families who tour our campus end up enrolling
at CSW. Site tours are offered throughout the year;
simply call to set up an appointment. And our current
families are eager to share their love of camp, too. If
you want to chat 1:1 with a CSW parent to learn more,
we’re happy to put you in touch with them.
