Become a collector of PATERNU's paintings, 2015-2017

With a great pleasure and excitement, we are publishing the third catalogue
"Become a collector of Paternu's paintings",
which presents an overview of artworks, created between 2015-2017,
by internationally renowned contemporary abstract painter Uroš Paternu.
Uros Paternu was born in the former Yugoslavia (1972) and witnessed the
disintegration of the communist system. In 1991 he was accepted as an exceptional
talent at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and this was also the turbulent year of
Slovenia's independence.
After graduating in 1996 he received the University »Prešeren« Award for the
painting »Wet living green« as an exceptional student. And in the same year, he also
received the First prize for a postgraduate study from Ivan Napotnik Cultural Centre,
Velenje.
He continued his master's degree in painting and presented his first solo and
revered exhibition in 1998 in Gallery Keleia, in Slovenia.
After the year 2000 due to the distrust and criticality in the newly created society,
he withdrew from public life in search of his own identity and exploring a unique
visual language in the field of abstract expressionism.
In 2015 he was awarded with 2 Prix Award, International Exhibition Art Resilience,
Musée de Peinture de Saint - Frajou, France. On their invitation, he become an
associate member of the Art Resilience movement in France.
In the past year 2017, he exhibited with four paintings at XI. International Biennial
of Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy.
His work appears in various publications and his paintings are represented in
corporate and private collections. Internationally his paintings have been exhibited in
Japan, Italy, Portugal, France and England.
He lives and paints in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Europe.

Why are Paternu's paintings recognized and valued by both
private collectors and art institutions
as an original and important contemporary painting today?
What is the first and the most obvious that a paternu's painting is immediately
recognizable by the first view;
from the start, the artist found a singular artistic language, a visual signature, a
style that reflects his deep perception and intuitive understanding of a world.
His paintings are like a diary of the painter's intimate and intuitive view. Each
painting is an independent page for itself, it is internal compositionally completed
and alive and it gives the impression of the content of internal reflections and
analytical-synthetic surveys.
The basic and most active agent and content of the artistic creation of Uroš
Paternu is the color in all its range and dynamics, attitudes and relationships, in
violations of the rules and freedom from them with an inner depth and visual
form.
Paternu's paintings are analytical - synthetical and expressive at once,
distinguished by their strong, powerful and colourful compositions in such a way
to create the sense of deepness and visual magnetism.
His abstract paintings represent his own aesthetic and expressive language by
the perception of the most internal sensations and systematized thoughts.
The extraordinary inner power, awareness and sensuality, which emanates from
such a strong and penetrative personality as Uroš Paternu, is reflected in his
paintings, which are not silence but somewhere shouting, and they remind us of
a re-examination of the history of man and required a re-creation of a view and
insight of his paintings and consequently self-awareness of a viewer.
