• Third year as a World Cup team member.
• Dual moguls silver medallist at the 2005 Canadian National Championships.
• Dual moguls bronze medallist at the 2003 National Championships in Apex, BC.
• Returned home prior to the end of the 2003-04 World Cup season in order to attend to recurring
knee problem with his left knee that began with a meniscus tear in September 2003.
• Top result last season was a 7th place finish in Deer Valley in dual moguls.
• Trained in Whistler, BC all summer.
• Started skiing at the age of 3, and began competing in Freestyle at the age of 13.
• Was originally in the Nancy Greene racing program, but was drawn into moguls after watching
others. “I would see these people ski the moguls everyday under the chair and I thought it was
really cool. One of the people that I saw skiing was Scott Bellavance, so I definitely saw the
beauty of moguls, and that got me hooked!” Chris ended up joining the Freestyle club in order
to have access to the mogul course!
• Enjoys soccer and ping pong.
• In 2000, as a second year BC team member, Chris finished 3rd in the dual mogul event at the
Canadian Championships, and considers it an honour to have been on the podium with mogul
legends Jean-Luc Brassard and Stephane Rochon. “I look up to them a lot.”
