THE GANGES
In Kolkata, visit the Victoria
Memorial, a structure built
during the British Raj to rival
the Taj Mahal. From there,
cruise up to the riverside
towns of Chandernagore, an
erstwhile French colony, and
Murshidabad, the capital of
the Nawabs of Bengal and
once larger than London.
Explore the terracotta
temples of Kalna and the
