Transfer-Student Scholarships<br />

Merit scholarships are awarded to transfer students<br />

who have strong college records. Awards are renewable<br />

based on grade point average at IIT and reasonable<br />

Athletic Scholarships<br />

As a National Association <strong>of</strong> Intercollegiate Athletics<br />

(NAIA) member, IIT awards athletic scholarships based<br />

solely on athletic ability, regardless <strong>of</strong> need. In compliance<br />

with NAIA rules, athletic scholarships are <strong>of</strong>ficially<br />

made by financial aid <strong>of</strong>ficers, upon recommendation <strong>of</strong><br />

IIT Loans<br />

Loans are available to undergraduate students regardless<br />

<strong>of</strong> need. These loans will be listed on a student’s financial<br />

aid award notification letter.<br />

IIT Employment Program<br />

Employment for students who are not awarded Federal<br />

Work Study (FWS) is available on and <strong>of</strong>f campus in the<br />

greater Chicago area. On-campus jobs are advertised at<br />

www.cdc.iit.edu. Off-campus jobs are also advertised by<br />

the Career Development Center. This <strong>of</strong>fice also assists<br />

IIT <strong>of</strong>fers scholarship supplements to admitted students<br />

who have been awarded U.S. Air Force, Army or Naval<br />

Veterans’ Educational Benefits<br />

Continued Eligibility for Financial Assistance<br />

All students receiving federal and/or state financial aid<br />

funds must demonstrate reasonable academic progress<br />

toward graduation from IIT. Reasonable academic<br />

progress includes both a satisfactory cumulative and<br />

major grade point average and sufficient credit hours<br />

earned each semester toward the completion <strong>of</strong> a degree<br />
