Educational Services<br />
The Office <strong>of</strong> Educational Services provides a variety <strong>of</strong><br />
academic support services for an undergraduate student<br />
from the time <strong>of</strong> admission to graduation. These services<br />
include academic advising, evaluation <strong>of</strong> transfer credits<br />
from both United States and international schools; academic<br />
program audits; student petitions; change <strong>of</strong> major;<br />
monitoring <strong>of</strong> academic progress; certification <strong>of</strong> student’s<br />
Greek Life<br />
Greek Life plays an integral role in student life. IIT’s<br />
seven fraternities and three sororities <strong>of</strong>fer a wide range<br />
<strong>of</strong> programs and services that benefit the student<br />
Health Center<br />
The Student Health Center focuses on primary care with<br />
a strong emphasis on wellness and patient education.<br />
The staff includes nurse practitioners and a registered<br />
nurse. All members <strong>of</strong> the senior staff have advanced<br />
degrees and certifications or licenses to practice their<br />
specialities. Numerous programs are presented throughout<br />
the year to promote health and wellness.<br />
The center can provide diagnosis and treatment <strong>of</strong><br />
common illnesses and injuries and prescriptions for<br />
medication. Both women’s and men’s health care concerns<br />
are addressed, including gynecological exams and birth<br />
International Center<br />
The purpose <strong>of</strong> the International Center is to promote<br />
international education and cultural exchange by 1)<br />
supporting international students, faculty, staff and<br />
students studying abroad, 2) assisting in the compliance<br />
<strong>of</strong> immigration and other related regulations, 3) providing<br />
services and resources to the IIT community. These<br />
services include: individual and group orientations to the<br />
university and community; assistance with document<br />
preparation for employment and other related non-immigrant<br />
benefits; workshops for faculty, staff, and students<br />
Leadership Academy<br />
The Leadership Academy is an integral component <strong>of</strong><br />
IIT’s interpr<strong>of</strong>essional approach to undergraduate<br />
education. Its objectives are to create and implement an<br />
effective leadership development curriculum for IIT<br />
undergraduate students, to identify and support students<br />
with exceptional leadership potential, and to evaluate<br />
leadership development outcomes at individual and<br />

hospital emergency room. Health services are confidential,<br />
and there is no charge for <strong>of</strong>fice visits. Charges may<br />
apply for laboratory tests and medications.<br />
