The principal objective <strong>of</strong> the college-level Reserve<br />
Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) program is to develop<br />
commissioned <strong>of</strong>ficers for the Active Army, the Army<br />
National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve. Each course<br />
is designed to develop essential qualities and traits <strong>of</strong><br />
leadership required for success in either a civilian or a<br />
military career.<br />

ROTC: Military Science<br />
Instruction is <strong>of</strong>fered through either a four-year or twoyear<br />
program. The four-year program consists <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Basic Course (freshman and sophomore years) and the<br />
Advanced Course (junior and senior years). The two-year<br />
Advanced Course is open to students eligible for advanced<br />
placement through a variety <strong>of</strong> options. Both programs<br />
include attendance at Camp Adventure (a six-week<br />
advanced summer camp) just prior to commissioning.<br />
