<strong>Millis</strong> Historic Commission Meets with GAF to<br />
Encourage Preservation<br />
On December 14th, the <strong>Millis</strong><br />
Historical Commission met<br />
with a representative of GAF at<br />
the <strong>Millis</strong> Town Hall. The commission<br />
hopes to work with the<br />
company in saving most or all<br />
of the historic structure, built in<br />
1889, at 60 Curve Street, as the<br />
building is being considered by<br />
the company for demolition. The<br />
GAF representative indicated<br />
that the company might be willing<br />
to work with the town, cost<br />
permitting considering cleanup<br />
of the site, to preserve some of<br />
the structure. Participants in<br />
the discussion made suggestions<br />
about a possible request at next<br />
Town Meeting to re-zone the<br />
property in order to attract more<br />
interest in the property by prospective<br />
businesses.<br />
