Let the child <strong>and</strong> the youth be taught that every<br />

mistake, every fault, every difficulty, conquered,<br />

becomes a steppings<strong>to</strong>ne <strong>to</strong> better <strong>and</strong> higher<br />

things. It is through such experiences that all who<br />

have ever made life worth the living have achieved<br />

“Whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine,”<br />

Christ said, “<strong>and</strong> doeth them, I will liken him un<strong>to</strong><br />

a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: <strong>and</strong><br />

the rain descended, <strong>and</strong> the floods came, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

winds blew, <strong>and</strong> beat upon that house; <strong>and</strong> it fell<br />

not: for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone<br />

that heareth these sayings of Mine, <strong>and</strong> doeth them<br />

not, shall be likened un<strong>to</strong> a foolish man, which<br />
