Turning in a ​letter of recommendation for residency can be a stressful thing to
do, especially since most colleges out there require you to follow a specific

1. Harvard
- Submit up to 6 letters of recommendation. The quota can be exceeded if the

- An employer’s letter of recommendation is not needed, but should you have it

You do not need to meet of all these criteria, but the college suggests you do, at

2. Oxford
- Respecting the submission deadlines is mandatory. Otherwise, the entries will
not be processed. The same goes for incomplete entries. Due to this fact, the
college advises you to make the necessary preparations and gather all the
needed materials in time.
- You need to submit three letters of recommendation.
- If you have any previous degrees, you’re going to need to submit transcripts of
them.

- Statement of residency
Depending on the course you choose, you may also have to present the
following:
- GRE results
- Academic written work
- Portfolio
Additional guidelines:
- You must submit the materials in English.
- They need to be clearly legible.

- The materials need to be submitted at the same time you submit your
application.
3. Stanford university
- A completed ERAS form is a must.
- A Dean’s letter from your school
- 3 to 4 letters of recommendation. These are specifically defined:
1.) Clinical letter from any Non-Pediatrics or Pediatrics faculty member
2.) Letter from Department of Pediatrics Clerkship Director
3.) Clinical letter from Pediatrics Clinical Faculty
4.) Optional: any letter you can get from a research-themed activity,
extracurricular activity, and so forth.

- A personal statement
- USMLE Score Transcript. A passing score is a must.
- Optional: a​ ​residency cv
