DOFF YOUR CAP<br />
The States of Guernsey has recently shown its<br />
commitment to encouraging newcomers to the island<br />
with a new measure that makes available a lower tax<br />
cap for those moving to Guernsey.<br />
The Guernsey tax cap is £110,000 for income arising<br />
from outside the island or £220,000 if Guernsey income<br />
is included. Both figures are now reduced to £50,000,<br />
for up to four years, for people who are new to the<br />
island and have bought a property of at least £1.5m on<br />
the Open Market: the part of Guernsey’s housing stock<br />
available to those who do not have an existing familial<br />
connection to the island. Locate Guernsey is keen to<br />
