Rock the Rock, a big event on the little Channel
Island of Alderney. Taking place on 8 August, this
event combines community fundraising with
juicy guitar riffs from the best local bands. For

Enjoy a blast from the past at Let’s Rock
Southampton!, which will return to Southampton
Common on Saturday 7 July 2018. With a fabulous
line-up of artists to bring you the very best of the
eighties, there is plenty to do for everyone at this

Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre has a busy
programme of performances throughout the
year, from musical theatre to opera. This year’s
classical line-up includes a Remembrance Day
commemoration on 11 November, featuring a
300-strong cast of choirs, military drums and the
professional Showcase Philharmagic Orchestra.
The concert includes music by Eric Coates,
Vera Lynn, Edward Elgar and Karl Jenkins.
Film lovers of all ages can enjoy the sound
of the cinema at the stunning Royal Albert
Hall on 22 April’s Film Music Gala. A showcase
of all-time favourite Hollywood blockbuster
soundtracks, highlights will include Back To
The Future, Star Trek, La La Land, Star Wars, Out
Of Africa, Jurassic Park, Game Of Thrones, Dr
Zhivago, Chariots Of Fire, and many more.

Fans of cult comedy Flight of Conchords
can catch Bret and Jerome on tour at the
Manchester Arena on Friday 23 March – the
duo’s first UK tour in over seven years.
