The whole shop and experience
plays to youngsters' imaginations
with beautiful finishing touches
such as birth certificates and
cardboard boxes that double
up as a bear house that can be
coloured in. And I can confirm
that the boxes fit in a suitcase.
There’s no way to sugar-coat
it, the food hall in the Trafford
Centre is manic at the best of
times let alone at half term. The
best option that we could see was
to divide and conquer – I found a
table with the children whilst Joel
went hunter-gatherer and braved
the queues at not just one, but
two different fast food outlets.
Post pit-stop we spent the
afternoon in SEA LIFE Manchester
which again is part of the Intu
Trafford Centre. Poppy and
Reuben enjoyed completing their
Dive Log Books gathering a stamp
at each of the nine dive stations.
It’s definitely smaller than some
of the other SEA LIFE centres we’ve
been to but it’s got everything
you’d want from an aquarium.
The sharks, turtles and rays are
always the favourites with our two
and Manchester didn’t disappoint.
Maxed out on fun and new
information and thoroughly wiped
out from the excitement, both the
kids slept all the way to the airport.
It was all going so well until
Reuben learnt a life lesson on one
of those fairground-esque claw
games in departures. The machine
will always win, especially when
you’re only three.
