Not ready to go home just yet? Head on
over to Ballie Ballerson in trendy Shoreditch
– a ball pit cocktail bar with one million
balls – which is fast becoming one of the
most entertaining restaurants in London.
The ultimate adult playground this side of a
theme park, there’s a ball waterfall and some
fantastic retro sweet cocktails. Be sure to try
the Bubble Gum Refresher made from tequila,
elderflower, black cherry and Refreshers.
If small yet perfectly formed dining is for you,
our first restaurant could be right up your street.
At HipChips in Soho the humble potato is the
star of the show. Pick your seasoning – sweet
or savoury – then choose from a glorious
array of dips including baba ghanoush and
katsu curry. There’s even pudding dips such
as campfire s’mores and chocolate salted
caramel for those with a sweet tooth.
For the serious throw-yourself-in-head-first
ballers, there’s even an extra deep VIP pit as
well as a private pit which looks straight out
onto the street on two sides. Kind of like an
infinity pool for big kids. Book yourself in
for a bottomless pizza adult playdate now.
Your Instagram will thank you for it!
If you’re sticking around Soho a little longer,
Asian fusion restaurant Inamo brings a
pioneering, tech-savvy approach to dining with
interactive projections on your table surface
that allow you to set the mood with a choice
of virtual tablecloths and discover the local
neighbourhood. You can even play retro games
and watch a live chef-cam feed. And at the end
of the night you can order a taxi home from the
comfort of your table top.
Heading back over to central London and we
find ourselves in Covent Garden and in a bit of
a time warp as we enter Tropicana Beach Club
– a flamboyant late-night bar and restaurant
and certainly one of the capital’s more unusual
clubs serving up beach-style grub and tropical
cocktails. You’ll be transported to a tropical
paradise as the kitchen prides itself on capturing
the vibrant flavours of our favourite beach
restaurants from across the globe. Why not
partake in the five-course sharing menu and enjoy
tortilla chips, sharing starters, tacos and churros
washed down with frozen strawberry daiquiri?
