His program had done it. He was actually now in the<br />

mainframe database of the site. From there he would<br />

have access to everyone. All the data; all the codes; all<br />

the names and passwords. He could sell the parts he<br />

didn’t need and who knew how many people he could<br />

screw up with their own data.<br />

Achermann closed the IM and watched in fascination<br />

as the screens displayed a long corridor into<br />

darkness. <strong>The</strong> dark approached on the screen. Achermann<br />

began to open his program and added three new<br />

firewall killer protocols just in case the darkness was<br />

really a firewall luring him into a trap. <strong>The</strong> screens<br />

went dark.<br />

“Crap,” Achermann said to himself. He<br />

jumped when his system pinged again and the IM balloon<br />

popped up.<br />
