funny? It’s less than 5 minutes from my house… by<br />

car that is.<br />

I guess the officers knocked on the door and<br />

didn’t find anything. Of course I didn’t tell them what<br />

had really happened; just that my wife had lost it, and<br />

tried to kill me. That was when I requested the psychiatrist.<br />

He’s the one I told everything to.<br />

“Now Mr. Stevens,” he began after I’d<br />

told him everything. “You and I both know that what<br />

you’re describing is literally impossible.”<br />

“Yes Doctor, I know that; and yet it happened<br />

anyway. That’s why I want you to put me into a facility<br />

with locked doors, and windows; rather than a<br />

facility with wide bars that you can stick an arm, a leg,<br />

or a pair of mandibles through.”<br />

“Mr. Stevens I… What are you looking at?”<br />

the Doctor asked.<br />

I couldn’t respond... the spider on the carpet<br />

was looking right at me.<br />

Leaping up, and flipping the Doctor’s desk<br />

onto the spider in order to kill it actually had the<br />

desired effect; it got me put into this insane asylum.<br />

<strong>The</strong> only problem is that some of the things I’ve found<br />

things inside this place are deeper and darker than I<br />

could have imagined.<br />

<strong>The</strong> patient who runs this place considers<br />

himself a vampire, and finds my story too fascinating<br />

to let me go. “Well, well,” he said after reviewing my<br />

file. “You are an interesting one. Neither you, nor<br />

sadly I will ever know how truly fascinating of a creature<br />

your wife may have been. But it’s ok,” He said<br />

putting His hands on my shoulders and looking me in
