Bedlamb and
The Christmas
Adventure
Bedlamb was originally a toy lamb that my
daughter, took to bed, hence Bedlamb.
Bedlamb is her special toy and has to be left
at home when the family goes out. However,
Bedlamb doesn’t want to be left out of things,
so if he is left alone, he goes off on his own
adventures. But will he still be there when
Natasha returns?
Everyone loves the magic of Christmas, and
everyone loves Santa; but what if Santa was
unable to complete all the deliveries? What
would happen to Christmas then?
Yes the books are available for sale, but more
than that, can you help spread the word?
Bedlamb would be delighted if you could!
‘ig’ – A healthy eating story
‘ig’ is a children’s book where healthy eating is at the heart of the story. It was created by Jake
Attree and Matthew Callaby, two friends who believe that books can be good for children’s bodies
as well as their brains.
Successfully crowd-funded through Kickstarter where it was named one of the site’s ‘Projects
We Love’, the book follows the story of a giant called Ig who’s too big to live in the woods that
he has to live on top of them
instead. But he’s not up there
by himself. Living on top of
him, in a town on his tummy,
are his pals the Igglees. When
Ig wakes up feeling a bit under
the weather one morning the
Igglees need to pull-together
to work out how they’re going
to make him better, but can
they do it before he sneezes
the town into a big mess..?
The book comes free with a
recipe card so that children
can make the same tasty,
healthy fruit smoothie (plus
two more) that the characters
do in the story. It’s available
from igthebook.co.uk and
Wear a Funky Scarf Day
Wear a Funky Scarf Day is Charity Link’s annual dress up
day; simply funk up your scarf and give a donation to help
improve the lives of individuals and families in need across
Leicestershire. The day is designed to be great fun but also has
a serious message - as many of the people that Charity Link
helps can’t afford to keep warm over winter. The day is perfect
for schools, workplaces, or for groups of family and friends to
join in. Cake sales, raffles or fun scarf themed activities all add
to the spirit of the day. Charity Link has balloons, leaflets and
school and workplace packs for those interested in supporting
the day. Visit www.charity-link.org/funkyscarfday
be fulfilled, as a medieval Christmas was not just about
City of Culture 2017 present A
Christmas Carolt
On a cold Christmas Eve, four spirits
conspire to show Ebenezer Scrooge the error
of his ways. His old business partner, Jacob
Marley has returned from the dead to offer
him a second chance, if he can change his
mean and miserly behaviour.
Nowhere are the effects
of poverty more keenly
felt than in the Cratchit
family, especially by their
youngest son, Tiny Tim.
As Scrooge’s inspirational
journey shows him both
the hardship and love
of those around him, he
is reminded of his own
powers of charity and
kindness.
This fresh adaptation of Dicken’s classic
Christmas ghost story, set in Hull, is a
