Havana, 1994. With embargo at its<br />
peak, the Cold War comes to an end and<br />
the Soviet Union disintegrates. But for<br />
Candelaria (75), and Victor Hugo (76)<br />
life continues at a slow pace. The days<br />
are repetitive, conversations are sparse,<br />
dinners are sad. One day, the monotony<br />
is broken when Candelaria finds a video<br />
camera hidden in the dirty sheets of the<br />
hotel where she works. This camera,<br />
subtly sneaks into their lives as the<br />
couple use it to film themselves. This<br />
spark of recovered love helps them<br />
forget that one of them is sick.<br />

Jhonny Hendrix<br />
An experienced director and film producer Jhonny<br />
Hendrix is best known for organising the Cali film<br />
festival Cien Milimetros and founding Antorcha Films, a<br />
production company focused on local content. Among<br />
his own movies are the critically acclaimed short film<br />
Cuando llegan los muchachos and his masterpiece<br />
Chocó, that was presented at the 2012 edition of the<br />
Berlinale.
