IFFI 2017 International Cinema Catalogue
MINISTER OF STATE (I /C) YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS AND MINISTER OF STATE INFORMATION & BROADCASTING GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MESSAGE I take this opportunity to welcome all film enthusiasts to the 48th International Film Festival of India, 2017. The 9 day long Festival provides the largest platform in the country for filmmakers, technicians, students and film enthusiasts to showcase their talent and to exchange ideas of film making in context of different cultures. Every year we try to programme the best of cinema from across the country and the world. These include many insightful films that address issues of social and cultural concern and helps in developing understanding and empathy among societies and nations. The films screened during the festival enable conversations and debate and they also challenge and encourage us to image new possibilities in our engagement with the world around us. I am delighted to extend my warm greetings to all the participants and organisers of the Festival. (Col Rajyavardhan Rathore)
