The documentary is an attempt to<br />
understand the legend of revolutionary<br />
filmmaker KG George by examining his<br />
major films juxtaposed with his personal<br />
life. When he states with a firm conviction,<br />
“I don’t want to make films anymore”, it<br />
sadly projects the various socio-political<br />
aspects that forced a filmmaker of his<br />
calibre to sing an early swansong in the<br />
1990s. No other filmmaker has depicted<br />
the nuances of the contemporary Kerala<br />
society with such great detail and depth.<br />

Lijin Jose is a filmmaker from Kerala,<br />
India. His first feature Friday was an<br />
official selection at the International<br />
Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) 2012. He<br />
has also served as a jury member in<br />
the selection panel for international film<br />
festivals like IFFK and IDSFFK.<br />
