Beyond the grief that his father’s demise
causes, Kolappan dreads the prospect
of the burial that requires a low caste
Dalit, to carry the body through a
thorny, unformed route to an uncertain
graveyard. Deeply disturbed with the
inequalities, Kolappan begins a protest
to enforce social liberty based on
equitable human rights.
