POLICE REPORT<br />

HIGHFIELDS: Traffic:<br />

A 35-year-old male was intercepted<br />

driving on O'Brien Road<br />

with an alcohol concentration of<br />

0.137 per cent.<br />

The male was issued a notice<br />

to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates<br />

Court.<br />

A 23-year-old male was intercepted<br />

driving along Cawdor<br />

Road due to his manner of driving.<br />

The male was transported to<br />

the Toowoomba Base Hospital<br />

where blood was taken from him<br />

due to the indicia he was displaying.<br />

Police are awaiting blood<br />

results before further action is<br />

taken.<br />

A 22-year-old male was intercepted<br />

driving in Dunbar Court<br />

with a blood alcohol concentration<br />

of 0.063 per cent.<br />

The vehicle was also confiscated<br />

for 90 days due to the<br />

number of previous related offences<br />

the male had.<br />

45-year-old female was intercepted<br />

driving while unlicensed<br />

on Highfields Road. A notice to<br />

appear was issued to the driver.<br />

CROWS NEST: Crime: October<br />

23 - 25 - A woman, 34,<br />

entered a supermarket on Curnow<br />

Street, Crows Nest and was<br />

observed on CCTV stealing an<br />

assortment of property each day.<br />

The woman was issued with a<br />

notice to appear for three counts<br />

of stealing and will appear before<br />

the Toowoomba Magistrates<br />

Court on November 27.<br />

October 25 - Police were<br />

called to a white Holden sedan<br />

on Esk-Hampton Road, Hampton.<br />

They located a man, 27,<br />

passed out behind the wheel. A<br />

search located dangerous drugs<br />

and a rifle shortened to resemble<br />

a pistol. The driver was arrested<br />

for offences of drive while UIL,<br />

disqualified driving, possess<br />

dangerous drugs, possess drug<br />

utensils and unlawful possession<br />

of a weapon. The man is to<br />

appear before the Toowoomba<br />

Magistrates Court on November<br />

15.<br />

October 31 - A boy, 16, was<br />

reported to have stolen property<br />

from a supermarket on Curnow<br />

Street, Crows Nest. This matter<br />

was finalised by way of a caution.<br />

Police attended a property in<br />

Naomi Drive, Crows Nest where<br />

two unregistered firearms and<br />

a quantity of ammunition were<br />

located.<br />

November 5 - A man, 40, was<br />

issued with a notice to appear for<br />

two counts of unlawful possession<br />

of a weapon and one count<br />

of failing to store ammunition in<br />

secure area. The man is to appear<br />

in the Toowoomba Magistrates<br />

Court on November 27.<br />

Traffic: October 24 - A blue<br />

Nissan 4WD was intercepted on<br />

Curnow Street, Crows Nest. Inquiries<br />

revealed that the vehicle<br />

was unregistered, the plates attached<br />

to the vehicle were false<br />

and the male driver, 21, was<br />

driving on a disqualified licence.<br />

The man was issued a notice to<br />

male was intercepted in Unwin<br />

Drive and was in possession of<br />

administrative building of the<br />

Highfields State School.<br />

Offenders have searched<br />

through drawers and have left<br />

with a quantity of cash. Investigations<br />

continuing.<br />

October 29 - A grey Mazda<br />

utility was located by police on<br />

Meringandan Road, Kleinton,<br />

with a man, 45, asleep behind<br />

the wheel. The man was transported<br />

to the Toowoomba Police<br />

Station where he provided an alleged<br />

reading of 0.165 per cent<br />

BAC.<br />

The man was arrested and processed<br />

through the Toowoomba<br />

Watchhouse on being in charge<br />

of a motor vehicle while UIL.<br />

The man was bailed to appear<br />

before the Toowoomba Magistrates<br />

Court on November 14<br />

and his driver’s licence was immediately<br />

suspended.<br />

The man was also issued with<br />

a Vehicle Production Notice requiring<br />

the vehicle to be delivered<br />

to the Toowoomba Police<br />

Station for forfeiture.<br />

November 5 - A white Holden<br />

sedan was intercepted on<br />

Esk-Hampton Road, Ravensbourne.<br />

Checks conducted on<br />

the vehicle revealed that it was<br />

unregistered and uninsured. The<br />

male driver, 28 was issued with<br />

infringement notices for both offences.<br />

There were seven infringement<br />

notices issued for the fortnight.<br />
