ABOVE: The Yamsion<br />
cheese factory was built in<br />
1927 on land bought from<br />
Ardie Koehler by the Maclagan<br />
Valley Co-operative,<br />
almost opposite the Lutheran<br />
Church. In the early 1930s<br />
local farmers bought the<br />
cheese factory which was operated<br />
until 1957. The Yamsion<br />
Hall was built in 1955<br />
and improved and extended<br />
over the years. It is the only<br />
remaining functioning civic<br />
building at Yamsion. The<br />
Lutheran church which was<br />
opened in 1922 closed in<br />
1967, the same year that the<br />
Yamsion School also closed.<br />
A group with historical connections with Yamsion Margaret Schwerin, William Schwerin,<br />
Robyn Cuddihy, Gaye Cuddihy, and John Ernst.<br />

89. The competition<br />
was followed by afternoon<br />

Country music fundraiser<br />

country music event fundraiser<br />

to be held at the Murphy’s Creek<br />

funds for Toowoomba Hospital<br />
Foundation.<br />
