Children don’t need experts<br />
to tell them that mud is<br />
good for them and we’re<br />
sure you’ll have nostalgic<br />
memories of making potions,<br />
petal perfumes and the<br />
perfect mud pie – growth of<br />
imagination and creativity is<br />
endless. That’s why we have<br />
our very own mud kitchen for<br />
the budding scientists, artists<br />
and innovators of tomorrow.<br />
Playing in mud encourages children to play<br />
in their own way and exposure to dirt and<br />
germs works to prime a child’s immune<br />
system, helping prevent allergies. Mud is<br />
also an excellent medium for learning. Rich,<br />
engaging sensory mud play allows children<br />
to express their creativity while enhancing<br />
fine motor skills.<br />
Children can also practise social skills<br />
such as co-operation, negotiation,<br />
communication and sharing as they work<br />
together. It’s also great for emerging maths<br />
and science skills.<br />
We’re extremely proud of our outdoor<br />
learning environment and provide a high<br />
quality early years education with superb<br />
care alongside outstanding facilities. We<br />
are fortunate to be located in over fifty<br />
acres of open countryside and private<br />
woodland. We even have our very own<br />
working farm!<br />
Playing and learning outside is a daily<br />
