of Village Eye! Packed
with seasonal articles and
information - don’t forget to
put your clocks back!- we can all look
autumnal nights out.
OCTOBER EYE
As we put our hopes of an Indian Summer
behind us, there is lots to look forward to.
October half term sees The Scarecrow Trail
take over the streets of Mortimer once again
with local schools, businesses and residents
all playing their part. You’ll see that big
changes are afoot at Budgens Mortimer - one
of the sponsors of The Mortimer Scarecrow
Trail - so do pop in and see their new arrival,
Jon Thorner’s of Somerset. Jon Thorner’s is
a multi-award winning butcher and we’re
looking forward to trying something new
for tea! At the end of the month we have
Hallowe’en to look forward to, of course.
Hallowe’en is always a favourite with the
children so why not make it extra special and
try out our themed recipe on page 34. Look
out for the pumpkins or decorations on the
doorstep before you go a-knocking and keep
the neighbours happy.
