Work/Life Program is designed
to provide a variety of programs
and services that support these
diverse needs, helping to
promote a high-achieving
work force that successfully
manages its personal and
professional responsibilities.
There are a number of work/life benefits
and services available to Raytheon
employees and their household members.

Adoption Assistance: Provides financial
support to help offset some of the out-ofpocket
costs associated with adopting a child.
Back-Up Care Advantage Program:
Administered by Bright Horizons, The Back-
Up Care Advantage Program makes it easier
to balance the competing demands of work
and life by providing temporary child and
adult back-up care when regular care is not
available.
Use this service for planned times when
you’re aware that you’ll need back-up care
like school vacations, or for last minute
emergencies. The program can also be used
for in-home mildly ill child care. Back-up
care is designed to provide care when you
need to be at work.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): The
health care and dependent care FSAs
allow you to reduce your taxable income
by paying for certain eligible health and/
or dependent care expenses before taxes
are withheld from your pay.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Where
business circumstances allow, flexible work
arrangements can be used to maintain or
enhance productivity, and to maximize
work/life effectiveness. If you have questions
regarding flexible work arrangements
at your location, talk to your manager or
Human Resources representative.
Group Auto & Home Insurance Program:
Employees have access to discounted
property, casualty and auto insurance
through Raytheon’s partnership with
national insurance companies, with the
convenience of payroll deductions.
Hyatt Legal Plans: Hyatt Legal Plans is a group legal plan
that offers you and your qualified dependents access to
a nationwide network of attorneys who can help with a
variety of legal-related matters, from estate planning and
real estate to family law and traffic offenses.
Leaves of Absence and Paid Time Off: Both paid and
unpaid leaves of absence are available. Paid Time Off
(PTO) combines traditional vacation, sick and personal
days into one pool of time, allowing employees to meet
their personal needs with greater flexibility.
LifeResources: Administered by United Behavioral
Health, LifeResources provides the confidential resources
and expertise you need to deal with everything from the
demands of everyday life to major life events. Whether
you need childcare or eldercare resources and referrals,
personal consultation and counseling, or help finding
personal convenience services, LifeResources can help.
Through LifeResources, you and your household members
can also receive up to eight free counseling sessions
(per problem year), legal assistance, financial services,
life learning services and online resources. In addition,
LifeResources includes:
• Autism Advocacy Program: Raytheon employees have
access to a dedicated, clinically licensed, professional
autism advocate. You can receive support, education,
consultation and referral assistance.
• Enhanced Eldercare Program: Provides a
comprehensive in-home health assessment and written
evaluation report for employees’ elderly parents or
other close relatives, as appropriate, when there are
concerns regarding the health or safety of the elder.
• LifeResources Coaching Program: Offering you
unlimited personal support through a personal coach,
LifeResources Coaching can help you identify your
goals and help put those goals within reach.
• Solutions for Nursing Mothers: A one-stop resource
that includes support, consultation and educational
materials for expecting and nursing mothers. A stateof-the-art
breast pump and accessory kit are available
for mothers at a substantial discount.
Long-Term Care Insurance: A voluntary benefit
program that provides coverage for employees, their
spouses, parents, grandparents and in-laws for long-term
care expenses that are not usually covered under medical
or disability plans.
Matching Gifts for Education: Raytheon encourages
employees to support education by matching gifts to eligible
educational institutions on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
The MetLife Survivor Assistance Program … Delivering
the Promise (DTP): In the event of the death of an
employee, specially trained DTP representatives will contact
beneficiaries to provide support and assistance. This
includes identifying benefits for which they may be eligible,
assisting with insurance claims, filing for benefits, financial
planning and identifying grief counseling resources.

Raytheon Scholars Program: Provides scholarships to
children of Raytheon employees, rewarding them for academic

Special Needs Planning: The MetLife Center for Special
Needs Planning helps parents and other caregivers who
have children and other dependents with special needs
planning for the future.
Transportation Benefit: Currently in many states, this
program provides savings on commuting expenses
through pre-tax payroll deduction. Only Raytheon
commuting expenses are eligible, including mass-transit
costs, carpool or vanpool expenses and parking. Contact

seminars on a variety of work/life topics are offered at
