“Play fair, play hard and play together as a team,”
is the motto that Dick Hillaker lived by during
his coaching years. At Port Huron High School,
Dick coached and scouted football for 33 years,
coached baseball for a total of 29 years with
22 years as head coach. His team won three
league championships, two district titles and
a regional championship. During his high
school career, Dick coached over 492 baseball
games, winning 271. He was name Coach
of the Year two times and is a member of the
Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
