What my 7 year old
brother has taught
me

She got pregnant
with my little
brother!
I have grown up in a very big family. I
have two older brothers and two little
sisters. Although I had little siblings, I
didn't remember much of when they
were born and around the age of 10 I
begged my mom to have another baby.
Surprise Surprise....

From the second he was born I did not
leave his side.

My parents both work, so once I was old
enough and my brothers went to college, my
summers were spent babysitting him

After school snack
Once I could drive, I was in charge
of dropping him off & picking him
up at school everyday

We went on ice cream dates...
I'd take him to the candy store... (sorry mom)
Hot Coco dates...
And the cider mill...

He has even formed a bond with some
of my closest friends

Although my parents needed help, and I didn't exactly
have a choice, I enjoyed every minute of being his
"second mom" and did it with no complaints
Spending almost every minute with him
as he grew up, I learned more than I
could have every imagined

Family has always been the biggest part
of my life, but Lucas taught me the
importance of spending time with and
cherishing the ones we love

There have been many times I have had to miss out
on my social life to take care of him because my
parents could not.
He has taught me
selfllessness
And doctor appointments
Like having to take him to his
baseball games

He taught me the importance of fun and laughter

One little boy who is growing and trying
to learn the world around him, taught
me unconditional love

Watching him grow everyday, and being able to
remember the first day he was born is something
that I have and will continue to cherish
