Amberg
The Town of Amberg is undeniably worth exploring. Amberg has a rich history and a visit
to the museum complex is well worth the time. Several buildings are open during the
summer to browse and enjoy. Multiple authors and artists call this area home. They can
often be found at craft fairs and farmers’ markets during the season. The Amberg Granite
is one of the most extensive veins of granite in Wisconsin and is popular for its variety of
color and texture, commonly referred to as “Amberg Red”. The granite from Amberg has
been used around the country and can be found along the curb lined streets of Chicago
and incorporated into buildings in Minnesota and Cincinnati.

thelstane is a heavily wooded area that offers snowmobiling, ATVing, fishing, hunting,
camping, kayaking, canoeing and whitewater rafting. If you’re looking for seclusion or a
quiet walk in the woods, this area has some beautiful forest roads situated along one of
the longest stretches of whitewater in the entire Midwest, the “Roaring Rapids” section of
the Peshtigo River draws people from all around the world to test their skill at tackling
