New nanomaterial could forge hydrogen from seawater
You might know, it is possible to produce hydrogen to power fuel cells
by extracting the gas from seawater, but the electricity required to
do it makes the process costly. In a breakthrough, new nanomaterial
has been developed by scientists. These new nanomaterial uses solar
energy to generate hydrogen from seawater, producing the low cost
and clean-burning fuel more efficiently than existing materials.
The advance may lead to a new source of hydrogen fuel, ease demand
for fossil fuels and boost the economy of countries where sunshine and
seawater are abundant.
Yang developed a method of fabricating a photo catalyst composed of
a hybrid material. Tiny Nano cavities were chemically etched onto the
surface of an ultrathin film of titanium dioxide, the most common
photo catalyst.
Those Nano cavity indentations were coated with Nano flakes of molybdenum
disulfide, a two-dimensional material with the thickness of a
single atom.
Typical catalysts are able to convert only a limited bandwidth of light
to energy. With its new material, Yang's team is able to significantly
boost the bandwidth of light that can be harvested.
By controlling the density of sulphur vacancy within the Nano flakes,
they can produce energy from ultraviolet-visible to near-infrared light
wavelengths, making it at least twice as efficient as current photo
catalysts.

Antibiotics are losing

The most precise atomic clock ever made has been created by
arranging strontium atoms in a grid-like pattern and then stacking
those grids like pancakes. "In 2014, the world’s most accurate
optical clock wouldn’t lose or gain one second in the entire age of
the universe,‖ says Jun Ye at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Previous cesium clocks kept time accurately to within a second

Episode four is available from Monday 9th October. The first three episodes
are available on Netflix now
Star Trek lives!
And not just that, but with
the arrival of the CBS series
Star Trek: Discovery -- the
first new TV Trek in over 12
years -- it has evolved, like
some kind of alien life form
being scanned by Mr. Spock.
Based on the two-part Discovery
premiere, the show
has successfully made the
jump to the modern mode
of serialized storytelling, an
approach that was mostly
avoided in the previous Trek
shows. Not just that, but
Star Trek: Discovery is also
taking a perhaps more
―realistic‖ approach to its story
and characters, grounding them in
a way that aligns the series with
2017 Peak TV practices while also
adhering -- so far, anyway -- to
classic Trek tropes and themes.
Oh, and it also looks stunning.
Show runners Aaron Harberts and
Gretchen J. Berg have since confirmed
that First Officer Michael
Burnham is not from Vulcan, but
that she is a human who has
spent a lot of time on the planet
attending the Vulcan Science Academy.

Life post IIT and the audio visual journey
Post IIT Arunabh came to Bombay to work in a US Air Force project. And as
the level of discomfort increased and the mental turmoil also began, Arunabh
quit his job. Arunabh got an opportunity to assist Farah Khan in Om Shanti
Om.
Arunabh believes he was lucky to get the first job in Red Chillies Entertainment.
―I consider Red Chillies Entertainment to be my film school and all these
guys… Shahrukh Khan, Farah Khan and all the technicians were my teachers…most
of my media and film-making education happened with these guys
and (I am) fortunate to work with these people‖.
Nine days after Om Shanti Om was finished, Arunabh got an offer from Amir
Khan Productions to work on ―Delhi Belly―, The same evening he won an award
for a short film ―The wish divers‖, in a contest organized by Network18 and
PnC Communications
And the Qtiyapa begins― Luckily Canon camera, YouTube and my rejection came
at the right time, all three of them coincided. This college Qtiyapa (The TVF)
is a show I had conceived for MTV. That show also got rejected after a lot of
resources went into it. That was one of the best rejections in my life, else we
wouldn’t have Qtiyapa with us…‖

It was our producer Vikram Malhotra. He
had me and Raja signed. He just put us
together.
How does the original
Chef(2014) fit in
Raja is not the kind of guy who would go
for a remake. He is inspired but has altered
it. That’s an indie film, nice small film.
Despite being in the thick of the
mainstream you have chosen to be at a
tangent with films like Omkara,Being
Cyrus… Coming to Chef— how mainstream
or tangential is it?
Many of us come with different mental processes
that define our choices. I would always
be drawn to an interesting film that
challenges me somewhere and also breaks the
norm of run-of-the-mill commercial cinema

I’d say it’s a modern, slightly unorthodox take on relationships.
The film is about a fairly common urban problem
– how to give time to your children and your family
and balance it with work. What happens when you
lose your way with your relationships, lose passion for
your job, if it becomes mechanical. It’s a father-son
story on one level.
I have cooked them pasta and dal and stuff. Taimur
is too small but I look forward to doing that for
him. I cook for Kareena sometimes and Soha.

In terms of personal growth, yes. Films are also changing.
It’s a reflection of our economy and society. I
shot a night scene in a Bandra flat and it looked so

could feel like the entire game world
was broken down into smaller areas
or levels. Particularly the earlier
games due to technical limitations.
With Assassin’s Creed Origins, care
has been taken to show Ancient
Egypt as a continuous landmass replete
with deserts and pyramids.
It’s similar to Far Cry - Far Cry Primal
to be exact - in the sense that
opting for a single sprawling sandbox
(pun unintended) results in a varied
approach to missions. You could scout
locations using your eagle to mark
targets as well as noting entry points
and escape routes. While traversing
on horseback, there’s a varied sense
of scale with dunes, temples, and rivers
dotting the landscape. This
could lead to a host of interactions
between the player and
Assassin’s Creed Origins’ many
systems that are as unique and
over the top as what we’ve seen
in the Far Cry games.

FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch Is the Best
Portable Football Game
Until the end of last
month, if you were hoping
to play a game of
football on-the-go, virtually
all your options existed
on phones. The
problem with nearly every
single one of them was
the same: a subpar experience,
that couldn't live
up to what you'd on your
home console. But that
changed with EA's release
of FIFA 18 on Nintendo
Switch, which promises
fans the same game – in
name, at least – that
you get on PlayStation,
Xbox, and PC.
It's not all there, unfortunately,
but it's
still the best handheld
football experience out
there. We're pleased
to see that EA has
managed to shrink
down the core gameplay
in a good-enough
looking package,
though it's hard to
justify the Rs.
4,299-price tag, given
how it's outdated in
nearly every aspect.

price of Rs 2.31 crore.

variants of the GT sports car.

will be more changes between the OnePlus 5 and 5T,
