RYAN JENKINS
Ryan is the only teacher in the world to have taught the kids from the hit US
TV show Dance moms, for Abbi Lee Miller, as well as on the UK show for Jennifer
Ellison.
He has taught at over 200 academies internationally and is a renowned teacher in the
UK, teaching at the top colleges including; Bird College, London Studio Centre Jazz
Company, Urdang, L.I.P.A, Mandy Ellen, Corona and Pineapple Performing Arts. Stella
Mann College and his choreographing is featured regularly at the prestigous ?Move It?
convention.
Fast becoming one of the countries most sought after choreographers, due to his
extensive experience in theatre, TV, film, live events, cruises, music videos, and adverts,
Ryan?s combined experience as a dancer, choreographer and Creative Director enables
him to fully understand and meet the needs of the ever changing world of show biz.
Ryan is most notably known for appearing as a finalist in the hit TV shows 'So You Think
You Can Dance' (series 2) and Got to Dance.
Before this, he had a flourishing career in London?s West End, but not before gaining his
first job at 19 in Matthew Bourne?s ?Swan Lake?. During his extensive West End career,
Ryan was Dance Captain for ?Grease?the musical?s UK and European tour,
choreographed by Arlene Philips, was a member of the original London cast of ?Wicked?,
and was Ruby in ?Cabaret?choreographed by Javier de Fructos. He was also a featured
dancer in ?Kismet?(English National Opera) and in Andrew Lloyd Webber?s ?Phantom of
the Opera?directed by Joel Schumacher.
