GARY MUTIMER North east businessman Gary Mutimer owner of media company Factory 51 Media one stop shop for all media needs including branding, distribution, editorial and premium video services and owner of the leading positive peoples newspaper Sunderland One (pictured in cover above). Gary has gone through an intense battle with kidney cancer and a heart condition aortic stenosis back in October. The 40 year old family man has since been given the all clear and since his recovery Gary has developed a new perspective on life and he Gary w it h his fiancée says he intend to make the most of every opportunity. The inspirational businessman was diagnosed in October with heart condition and kidney cancer, which he says was very tough for him as he had considered himself a healthy and fit man. Gary describes the hardest part of his condition was feeling very alone. Despite Gary having the support of his fiancée, children and family his condition made him feel very isolated and overwhlmed 'I felt very guilty seeing my fiancée upset, my mum and dad, my children where devastated, it was tough seeing people i love hurting' he also adds 'The mental side of things will be an ongoing battle, I have ongoing counseling ' Gary credits the NHS and Health Care professionals at how amazing they were; supporting through his illness to a successful recovery. He states 'We have amazing NHS and health care professionals , they have been fantastic in supporting me throughout' Gary came up with Sunderland one newspaper after coming out of surgery, his positive peoples papers is going from strength to strength.
