Following our path back to the roots, with eternal
appreciation for long lasting materials and craftsmanship
– leaving each single product with traces from the heart
and hand of the finest skilled artisans, we present to you
the new AW2017 collection.

M a scu linit y since 201 0
The AW2017 collection staged in the home of Muubs
founders; Bent and Dorthe Povlsen.
The construction of their concrete house and love for
long lasting materials are the original inspiration and
motivation behind Muubs.
To make it to the collection the unique Muubs objects
must fit into the surroundings in Bent and Dorthe’s house.
The concrete walls are uncompromising, making it a must
for the objects to be bold, but also warm and quirky to
stand out from a background of unpolished rawness.

Everything carrying traces from the hands of its creator,
carries an authenticity and honesty that will provide the
home with a personal ambience. Let your walls stand out
with the ethnic inspired one-of-a-kind masks from Muubs.
Powerful pieces displaying how heart and tactility is far
more important than perfection.

N ordic coolness
Always guided by an instinctive love for the power of nature
and the beautiful, enduring materials obtained from it, with
nuances of rust, sands, aqua and burned tones. This is Nordic
coolness. Inspired by the bold, raw nature of the largest
national park in Denmark, National park Thy.
Dakota chair. Made from nature, for the precious in-nature moments.

International “hygge”
A feel of international hygge occurs in the fuse
between authentic craftsmanship with an ethnic twist
and raw, Nordic coolness. Displayed through unique
products, celebrating the perfect imperfections. All
with expressions that are inspired and defined by
nature and the hands that have shaped each single
piece.

Muubs do customizing. Since almost all our furniture is
handmade and developed by our Danish in-house design
team, we can, depending on quantity, meet your specific
wishes and provide unique, custom-made décor, furniture
and textiles for larger projects of every kind.

inspir ation
Gaia. Meaning earth.
Inspired by the dark
soil with an organic
shape and a tactile
surface, made by hand by
dragging a comb along
the surface of the vase.
Luna. Meaning moon.
Shaped, painted, and
burned entirely by
hand resulting in the
peculiar moonscape
like surface. Somehow
otherworldly, yet so
elegantly simple.

Terr acot ta
Muubs terracotta is handmade
by local ceramists in Indonesia.
The characteristic dark surface
is made through an unique
browning process.
Making a batch of terracotta is
a handwork process that can
last up to 5 days, of shaping,
burning, drying and browning the
terracotta.

Inspired by the
u n spoiled nature

J u te
Woven into unique objects, such as rugs and
placemats, by Indian craftsmen, with a rich tradition
for harvesting and working with jute, bringing traces
from traditional Indian craftsmanship into the elegant,
Danish-designed textiles.

Fishtr a p
Inspired by the traditional Indonesian fish traps, the collection of
Muubs bamboo lamps has been expanded to include even more sizes
and variations, such as the large floor lamp with the organic top
of raw branches. Similar to all fish trap lamps is the beautiful
light, created when broken by the sculptural gathered bamboo
branches, assembled by hand.

Our path
To make honest, long lasting design. Unexpected,
enduring objects which age gracefully. In honor of the
imperfect, the apprehensive design, honest craftsmanship
and everything in-between.

I ron
A large number of Muubs iron
and steel furniture is Danish
designed and produced. Inspired
by the surroundings in which our
Danish craftsmen work; the raw
moorland of Jutland, Denmark.

Swift
To a chef, the plate is the same as a canvas is to an artist.
Attempting to create great art takes a great canvas. Swift is
handmade stoneware in calm nuances. Simply low-key luxury,
bringing forward the beauty of your servings.
Sand from the beaches in Bali creates the raw and unique
structure of the black swift plates as it is stroked on the edges
of the stoneware before glazing. Raw and unique tableware.
Just as unique as a fingerprint.
We love that.
