There is something for everyone at Lake
Anna. Whether your dream home is a small
cabin retreat, a palatial, custom waterfront home
or something in between, we have it here at
the Lake. Having a lake house is a great way
to get family and friends together. You can
enjoy swimming, boating, skiing, wakeboarding,
tubing, sailing, kayaking and some of the best
bass fishing in Virginia. There are also catfish,
crappie and striper waiting to be caught.
Fishing guide services can show you where to
catch the big ones. It is also a great place to just
kick back and relax. Take a nap in a hammock,
sunbathe on your dock or enjoy happy hour
on the deck or patio while the grill is heating
up. Or … if you don’t feel like cooking, visit
one of the growing number of restaurants. Your
choices include everything from sandwiches,
pizza, burgers and barbeque to Chinese food,
Asian sushi and hibachi, Italian cooking, steaks
and chops and even a crab house with a large
variety of seafood.
Central Virginia is wine country. There are
several wineries within a half hour drive where
you can take a tour, enjoy the tasting room and
stock up on your favorites.
The area surrounding Lake Anna is filled
with historical places. There are Civil War
battlefields such as Chancellorsville, Wilderness
and Trevilian Station. Other interesting
placing nearby include Thomas Jefferson’s
Monticello and The University of Virginia
in Charlottesville and Historic Downtown
Fredericksburg, to name a few. Golf and
horseback riding are close by. If you don’t have
all your own toys, yet, boats, jet skis, kayaks and
paddleboards are available to rent.
The close proximity to the Washington Metropolitan Area makes Lake Anna a logical place to
start looking for a vacation or second home. There are plenty of resales in all price ranges. Every
home and property is different. If you don’t find just what you are looking for, there are plenty
of lots still available and qualified local builders as well. There are detached homes, townhomes
and condos available. One new subdivision offers a home, lot and boathouse or boat slip as a total
package, with five models to choose from.
