1 CUP WIN AT WORKINGTON. IT WAS APRIL FOOLS DAY<br />
AND THE ALL GOLDS HAD THE LAST LAUGH, TURNING<br />
THE TABLES ON THEIR HOSTS TO COME AWAY WITH A<br />
MEMORABLE VICTORY.<br />
Just six days after being beaten comfortably<br />
by Workington in the league, the <strong>All</strong> <strong>Golds</strong><br />
travelled back to the glorious Lake District<br />
to face Town again, this time in the League 1<br />
Cup Quarter <strong>Final</strong>.<br />
The weather was vastly different with<br />
leaden skies bringing drizzle and heavier<br />
showers replacing the bright sunshine<br />
of the previous week. The <strong>All</strong> <strong>Golds</strong> side<br />
was different too with Alex Gaskell and<br />
Bead Kislingbury absent through injury<br />
and Graham O’Keeffe making his first<br />
appearance in the squad for almost a year.<br />
The result, too, was different. The <strong>All</strong> <strong>Golds</strong><br />
played the perfect game on a boggy pitch<br />
that had to be cleared of water before the<br />
