Welcome to the Brandon School District Community Education Fall 

2017 brochure! Community Education is meant to extend and 

enhance the role of the Brandon School District in the areas of 

academics, arts, and athletics. 

While many of our instructors are professionals, we actively seek 

individuals who have hobbies or a passion for something that can be 

developed as a class. Our goal is to offer opportunities that best meet 

the needs of our community. We value your input. Please let us 

know if you have suggestions for additional classes or ideas for 

enhancing our current offerings.

Get the answers that you need from an experienced Family Law Attorney. 

Learn about the legal process of divorce, child custody, asset division, spousal

Dog Obedience 

This class is for dogs 6 months and older. Teach your dog how to heel, sit, 

down, stay, and come on recall. Dogs must have a collar and 6 foot leash. 

Bring proof of shots and soft treats with your dog on the first night of class.

Puppy Socialization 

This class is for puppies 9 weeks to 6 months old. Teach your puppy proper 

socialization, housebreaking, puppy games, house manners, simple 

commands, and introduce beginner obedience. Please bring your puppy with a 

collar and a 6-ft leash, copy of shot/vet records, writing materials, and soft

Brandon Schools wants to welcome AquaClub Swim School and Swim 

Team lead by a 2-time Olympian Swimmer, Nim Shapira. Come check 

out our AMAZING pool and get in the water with us! We welcome all 

levels and all ages, 2 months old all the way to master level swimmers.

Youth Swim Classes 

Level 1 (Parent and Tot) - Starfish (2 months – 3 years olds) 

Our Level 1 swim school class is designed for little ones ages 2 months – 

3 years old. Both parent and child are in the water with the instructor learning 

the basics of safe water activity and begin familiarizing themselves with the 

pool, equipment, and the new environment. This is a fun activity for parents 

and their babies!

Level 2 - Seahorse 

The Level 2 class is for beginning level 

swimmers who do not have the ability to swim 

on their own but are advanced enough for 

small group classes with an instructor. 

Swimmers in this class will learn the 

fundamentals of water safety from floating and 

kicking, to beginning to learn freestyle and 

backstroke with flotation assistance.

Level 3 - Guppy 

The Level 3 class is designed for beginning swimmers who are comfortable 

floating and swimming for short distances in the pool and ready to take on 

more advanced skills. This class teaches the fundamentals of the freestyle and 

backstroke, swimming with their face in the water, breathing technique, and 

advanced kicking drills for balance in the water.

Level 4 - Rainbow 

Swimmers who are ready for the Level 4 class are able to swim longer 

distances in the pool without any assistance. They are familiar with freestyle 

and backstroke and are able to swim comfortably with their face in the water. 

This class is designed to further improve swimmers’ efficiency in the water by 

teaching the importance of streamline and proper wall push offs. This class 

also covers more advanced swimming techniques including the introduction of 

breaststroke kick and dolphin kick.

Level 5 - Angel 

In our level 5 class, swimmers are ready to begin 

swimming the entire length of the pool (20-25 yards). 

This class is designed to build swimmers’ confidence 

and endurance in the pool by introducing swimmers to 

various drills to improve freestyle breathing, backstroke 

body positioning, and by introducing the swimmers to 

the full breaststroke and butterfly technique.

Level 6 - Cardinal 

Swimmers that are enrolled in our level 6 swim class are very comfortable with 

swimming long distances in a variety of different styles and techniques. The 

purpose of these classes is to further improve swimmers’ stroke technique and 

knowledge of competitive swimming through the development of the four 

competitive strokes. Swimmers at this level will also begin learning how to dive 

into the water.

Level 7 - Dolphin 

Level 7 is the final level of our swim school and is designed specifically to prep 

swimmers for the competitive swim teams. This class aims to give the 

swimmers the confidence and endurance they need to practice in the larger 

group settings and are introduced to competitive swimming when you "lingo", 

short swim sets, flip turns, diving from starting blocks, and further refining 

technique within the four competitive strokes.

30-day cancellation notice. 

4 Lessons Per Month - Swim School ONLY 

All lessons are based on 4 lessons per month (1 per week). In a month of 5 

weeks, we will NOT host lessons on the 5th week. 

Proration - We accept swimmers into our classes everyday of the month! You 

can start today! If you come in the middle of the month, you will only pay for the 

prorated amount based on the classes you attend. 

Additional Classes - More classes are added as needed. Call for more 

information.
