IMPORTANCE, AIMS AND POSSIBLE OUTCOME OF RESEARCH
The center of our research is the role of the autophagy (self-eating process) during
the development of an individual. The Nobel Prize in 2016 was awarded in
this topic, which shows the importance of the autophagy. Our aim is to know
what the role of 3 autophagy genes (Atg9, Atg14 and Syx17) are during the egg
development. To answer our questions we made transplantational experiments.
Our work proved that the mutant ovaries showed mutant phenotype in wild
type circumstances so the function of the studied autophagy genes is essential
in the ovary. Our future aim is to understand in which cell types of the ovary the
function of the observed autophagy genes are essential.
AIMS DURING HIS CAREER
Learn genetics on high level and teach others.
I would like to participate in the work of foreign labs to develop my skills.
